The Visual and Data Analytics Laboratory (VIDAL) is an emerging research group initiative at the Delta Centre specialising in digital image processing, applied machine learning, and data analytics. The lab focuses on developing advanced algorithms and computational techniques to extract meaningful insights from complex image data and large datasets, integrating machine learning models with visual analytics to address real-world challenges.
By combining expertise in image processing with state-of-the-art data analytics methods, the laboratory aims to innovate in areas such as pattern recognition, anomaly detection, and interactive data visualisation, fostering interdisciplinary applications across domains like healthcare, security, and environmental science.
This integrated approach enables the lab to provide tailored, scalable solutions that leverage both visual information and data-driven intelligence for enhanced decision-making and scientific discovery.
